The Completion of the Cyprus, France, Portugal, and Greece Demo Days

From France to Portugal, Portugal to Cyprus, and finally Cyprus to Greece, SmartVitiNet’s Demo Days have been uniting winemakers, researchers, and tech innovators across Europe to experience the digital future of viticulture.

In scenic vineyards in 🇫🇷 Domaine du Moulin Hirissou (Toulouse), 🇵🇹 Casa do JOA (Parada) & Ramilo Wines (Mafra), 🇨🇾 Ktima Gerolemo (Omodo), 🇬🇷 Kontogiannis Family Vineyard (Greece), we showcased:

💶 Funding Opportunities (by Future Needs) Tips and guidance on finding the right funding for your ideas!

Users also gain free access to the first sessions of personalised consultancy services with experts from different domains. Moreover, they can monitor crop health and water stress in a field through a Decision Support System portal, and get informed by a library with the latest policy regulations and articles related to smart technologies and precision agriculture.

The SmartVitiNet Training Portal, developed by WaltR, is an advanced, user-friendly digital platform designed to support informed decision-making in viticulture.

Built with a focus on ethics and sustainability, the SmartVitiNet portal ensures secure, near real-time access to actionable insights, driving innovation, productivity, and resilience in the European wine sector.

In the last 6 months of the project, SmartVitiNet has been presented in various conferences.

46th World Congress of Vine and Wine of the World Organization of Vine and Wine, in Chisinau, Moldova, on the 16th to 20th June, 2025. Attended by Theo Kontogiannis from Agroecology Lab and by Maritina Stavrakaki from the Agricultural University of Athens.

MacroWine Conference in Bolzano, Italy on the 24th to 27th June. Attended and presented by Emma Tsai from Future Needs.

XIII Iberian Congress of AgroEngineering 2025 in Coimbra, Portugal, on the 21st to 23rd of July. Attended by Maria Da Graça Monteiro from ISCTE.

32nd Conference of the Hellenic Horticultural Society took place on the 20th to 23rd October 2025 in Volos, Greece. Attended by Maritina Stavrakaki from the Agricultural University of Athens.

Climate Change Week in Milano, Italy, on the 22nd-24th of October. Attended by Thanos Arvanitidis from Future Needs.

 

The SmartVitiNet team is thankful for all the support we got throughout these three years.
